Edward L. Stevens and Champion at the Grand Hotel, Birmingham, on Thursday, October 17th, 1918. A set of 32 Le Blond ovals in album realised 37gns. The chief prices for Baxter prints were 90gns. for a pair, "The Coronation " and "Opening of Parliament"; 86gns. for " The Launch of the Trafalgar"; 29gns.. for "Victoria, Queen of Great Britain"; 24gns. for Auction Records, Wed., November 27th, 1918 95 "The Parting Look"; and 17|gns. and 13 for similar unf rained prints; 11 10s. for large first impressions, and 10|gns. for " The Small Bride." From the " Bazaar Exchange and Mart," Saturday, November 30th, 1918, I append the following, which will be of interest : SALE OF A COLLECTION OF BAXTER PRINTS. We learn that Mr. Alfred Docker, of 9, Gray's Inn Square, W.C. 1, has sold his collection of Baxter prints to Mr. M. Hacker, of Manchester, for 800. The collection was one of the finest in the country, as only about four or five prints were missing from it. In some respects it was unique, as it included authentic examples not to be found elsewhere* Practically every print that could be obtained on a stamped mount had been acquired by Mr. Docker, and most of his Baxters were in mint condition.
